Basic ACE Curriculum
PreSchool Curriculum is for pre-school and early start programs. It introduces a culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, emergent literacy program. It provides a holistic beginning reading program for academic excellence. Print awareness, phonological skills, comprehension strategies, vocabulary development and fluency techniques are introduced using experiential activities that enhance student participation, memory and enjoyment. It is a full day curriculum for 3 and 4 year olds that teaches reading and math.
Language Arts Curriculum: introduces a culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate language arts program. It provides a holistic reading, writing, spelling and grammar program for academic excellence. Print awareness, phonological skills, comprehension strategies, vocabulary development and fluency techniques are introduced using experiential activities that enhance student participation, memory and enjoyment.
Mathematics Curriculum: introduces a culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate mathematics program. It provides a holistic mathematics program that includes communication, problem solving, resource access and utilization, linking and generating knowledge and citizenship. Activities are introduced using experiential physics and physical education activities that enhance student participation, memory and enjoyment. Our math program exposes students to physics and calculus by the third grade. Students learn math faster by reciprocal operations and experiential physics applications.
Social Studies - KMT: Our African Ancestry - History that begins with the origins of humankind and moves to one of the greatest civilizations of all times, KMT (Egypt). The contributions of Africans is related to current western philosophy, monuments and symbols.

AFRICAN MATHEMATICAL GENIUS
African Mathematical Genius is organized into a series of four books. The first book is Potential Genius, the preschool curriculum. The next books are African Mathematical Genius Giri So, Benne So and Bolo So. The African Mathematical Genius books are divided into three themes in each book for a total of nine themes. The themes are infused across the curriculum with goals and objectives for math, language arts, science, social studies/history/geography and health with sample lessons in art, PE and music. The math theme is fully developed with class introductions of topic, vocabulary, exercise and activities. It is a mathematics curriculum based upon experiential/multi-sensory, multi-modal, multi cultural, and multi-dimensional techniques with emphasis on reciprocal operations and patterning. The grade levels addressed by the curriculum are Kindergarten through sixth grades but can also be used at higher levels for students that have not mastered basic skills.
HESHIMA TO HOTEP
Heshima to Hotep: Ten Steps to Educational Excellence is an Afrocentric program that begins with respecting (heshima) and affirming students. The steps are respect, expect, success, reward-invest-praise, take-away-privileges, multi-cultural, multi-sensory, multi-modal, multi-dimensional, and peace (hotep). These ten steps provide specific strategies and techniques for success.
BECOMING: AN AFROCENTRIC LANGUAGE ARTS CURRICULUM
A multi-cultural and multi-sensory reading program with sequential vocabulary and sight word development in a series of eight books: The first part of each book is designed to be read to children and the second part is “The Child’s Reader.” At the end of each book are goals, comprehension questions, activities, vocabulary and additional resources. Another component is an ethical principle for character development. There are many resources for activities. These activities are part of the holistic curriculum to insure developmentally appropriate practices for young children. Suggestions for activity centers are also included. Reading, writing, grammar and spelling are the goals of the curriculum. Each page of the child’s book has a writing line and words to practice writing. At the bottom of each page are words for reading and spelling. Challenging the Genius Language Arts Curriculum provides a total beginning reading program that insures excellence.
